Rent-to-own paperwork
What you bring.
Rent-to-own paperwork is short. Have these ready and it goes quick.
- Driver's license or state ID
- Social Security number. It's for ID only. It is not used to check your credit.
- Your birth date
- Where you work
- 2 personal references (name + phone)
That's it. No credit check for rent-to-own.
We'll tell you the deposit up front, before you sign anything. Want the lower monthly that comes with good credit? Ask about credit-based financing (see below).
No small type, no surprises
The fine print. Printed big.
It's a lease, not a loan.
Rent-to-own means you rent the building by the month, through RTO National or PLD Rentals. You own it when the last payment is made, or sooner if you pay it off.
It costs more than cash. We'll show you how much.
Monthly payments add rental fees, so the total is higher than paying cash. Ask us for the total next to the cash price before you sign.
Pick 24, 36, 48 or 60 months.
A longer term means a lower monthly but a higher total. A shorter term costs less overall.
Put more down, pay less a month.
You can pay more than the minimum deposit when you order, and that lowers your monthly.
No early payoff fees.
Pay off what's left any time, mid-term, with no penalty.
90 days same-as-cash.
Through PLD Rentals: pay it off within 90 days and you pay the cash price, plus a $35 PLD fee. Miss the 90 days and it goes back to your normal monthly term, rental fees included.
Good credit? There's a cheaper way.
RTO National also offers credit-based financing. It does run a credit check, and if you're approved you get a lower monthly payment.

Lofted
Barn-style roof. 6' walls (upgrade to 7'). Comes with 8 feet of loft, and you decide where it goes: 4' on each end, 2' and 6', all 8' on one side, or just 4'. Peak is about 11'.

Straight talk: these are storage buildings. If you're planning to live in one, it won't meet building code for a home and won't be rated as one for permits. Plenty of people still turn them into great spaces. Just know that going in.

Garages, carports, RV and boat covers, lean-tos and step-down barns. Every steel building is laid out around what goes inside. Clear-span framing means no posts in the middle, so you get every square foot.

Steel is installed on your site. You'll need a level spot (dirt, gravel, concrete or asphalt), and you'll want to check underground lines and your county's rules first. Ask us about steel delivery and install for your address.
